March 9th, 2010

When i went to use the washer last night it stopped draining. Turns out the other belt was getting saturated with water causing it to slip. Dispite the belt was not totally bad i replaced it anyways.

Yep, I’ve thought I fixed something, but it required me to take it back apart many times, like that Poulan Chainsaw I have a video of.

cool vid Craig! That was a good fix. I didn’t know it would heat it’s own water, thats cool.

What you are saying about newer flimsy washers rusting is kind of like todays lumber rotting too fast. Thats why some older timbers are recycled because they look better cause of the age, and also more rot resistant.

Hahaha if it wasn’t a daily runner like it is I myself would still take the time to paint it =P but hey it does it’s job a newer one would probably be totally rusted out after 24 years

I think it pumps alright. I think its just the long length of the extended hose that makes the washer pump slow. If the water is draining regularly into the washtub without the extended hose it flows great.

heats its own h2o??? never seen one like that also as old as it is if its pumping slow the impellers might be wearing down
